Our first initiative

Recovery Match

A human way to find sponsors, peer support, and treatment pathways

Who it serves: Individuals in early and sustained recovery; treatment centers seeking aftercare continuity.

Where things stand today. Recovery Match is being introduced as a concept and validated with the people it’s meant to serve. Matching and introductions are made by people. Every request that comes in is read and followed up on personally by a member of the AAN12 team. You never need an account to ask for help.

What it’s intended to become

The idea we’re testing

Recovery doesn’t end at day 30, 60 or 90, but most support does. Recovery Match is our attempt to build the layer that comes after: a single, trusted place to say what you need and be connected to people and resources that can help.

  • A clear way to say what kind of support you're looking for
  • Human follow-up from people who understand recovery
  • Connection to recovery resources, peers and community
  • Families included rather than left outside the process
  • Recovery organizations able to take part in the same network

Who it’s for

Three groups, one network

People in recovery

Anyone leaving a program, or years into sobriety, who wants connection and resources that don't disappear at discharge.

Families and support circles

Parents, partners, siblings and friends who want to help without guessing, and who need support of their own.

Treatment centers & recovery organizations

Programs that already do the hard clinical work and want their people to land somewhere after it ends.

Part of the AAN12 ecosystem

Be part of shaping it

Whether you’re looking for support or you run a recovery program, the most useful thing you can do right now is tell us what you need.
